Spirax Sarco Spirax Sarco SMC32F and SMC32YF are serviceable bimetallic steam traps made of carbon steel with integral flanged straight line connections.The SMC32F has a built-in flat type strainer and the SMC32YF has a built-in 'Y' type strainer. All pressurized components are supplied by T\u00dcV-certified suppliers and are manufactured in accordance with AD-Merkblatt WO\/TRD100.<\/p>\n

Installation Tips<\/h3>\n

SMC32F and SMC32YF can be mounted in any position, horizontal or vertical.
\nWhen condensate is discharged to a condensate recovery line with back pressure, it is recommended that a check valve be installed after the trap.
\nWhen condensate is discharged to the atmosphere, it is recommended that a silencer be installed.
\nFor ease of maintenance, it is recommended that globe valves be installed upstream and downstream of the trap. Increased backpressure will reduce the condensate discharge temperature. For more information, please contact Spirax Sarco. For ease of maintenance, it is recommended that globe valves be installed upstream and downstream of the trap.<\/p>\n
