Inverted Bucket Steam Traps - 990F Series

900F Series Inverted Bucket Steam Traps in cast steel with built-in horizontal piping connections and vertical built-in strainer, with a choice of threaded, socket welded or flanged connections.

The 900F Series features a unique lever system that multiplies the force of the inverted pail to open the valve against the pressure of the system. The device floats freely, with no fixed pivot points to cause wear or friction. Since the device is mounted on top of the trap, dirt will not accumulate at the orifice. Tiny dirt particles remain suspended until the bucket sinks and pulls the valve flap away from the seat, at which point they are discharged under differential pressure. The discharge orifice is surrounded by a water seal to prevent loss of fresh steam.

A small vent hole in the drum creates an automatic venting system that continuously and automatically removes air and CO2 at steam temperature.

Although water discharge is sometimes interrupted, the inverted bucket trap allows continuous drainage and prevents condensation blockage. The valve is also resistant to water strikes.
