- Flexible return and exchange policy
The GESTRA RK44 check valve is a high-quality non-return valve product of the German GESTRA brand (part of the Spirax Sarco Group), designed for industrial piping systems and used to effectively prevent the backflow of fluids and ensure safe and stable system operation. As a clamp-on check valve, it features a compact clamp-on design for a wide range of liquid, gas and steam applications, making it ideal for HVAC systems, industrial technology and sanitation.Known for its durability and versatility, the GESTRA RK44 Bronze Check Valve supports pressure ratings of PN6/10/16 and a range of sizes from DN15-200 for use in a wide range of temperature environments from -200°C to +300°C. The valve is also available in a wide range of sizes, from PN6 to PN6, and in a wide range of sizes from DN15 to DN16. C wide temperature environments.
Product Features
- Compact design and easy installation: Clamp-on construction with short face spacing in accordance with DIN EN 558 Series 49 for easy clamping between flanges. Self-centering design (DN15-100 use spiral center ring, DN125-200 are self-centering body), no additional centering tool required.
- Flexible mounting positionsThe spring-loaded version can be installed in any position (horizontal, vertical or inclined); the spring-less version is suitable for upward flow in vertical pipes and ensures reliable operation in a wide range of operating conditions.
- Highly durable materials: High quality bronze (CC480K-GS/CC483K-GS) for body and disc, CuSn6 F 90 bronze for spring, and 1.4310 stainless steel for center ring. Optional EPDM or FPM soft seats are available to enhance sealing performance and chemical resistance.
- Low opening pressure: 2.5-14 mbar without springs and 10-33 mbar with springs, ensuring fast response at low differential pressures and minimizing energy loss.
- Excellent sealing performance: Metal-to-metal seat leakage rate class D (EN 12266-1), soft seat class A for water, condensate, steam, non-hazardous gases and air.
- Wide temperature tolerance: Metal seats support -200°C to +200°C (DN15-100) or -10°C to +300°C (DN125-200) for very low or high temperature environments.
- Optional Configurations: Springless, silicone oil-free versions, open-hole designs for customized needs.

The pressure drop curve of the GESTRA RK44 check valve is based on a 20°C water test, ensuring that the equivalent volume flow rate of water (V_w) is calculated in real applications to optimize performance. When ordering, please provide fluid type, flow rate, pressure, temperature and flange standard for optimal configuration.
Application Areas
The GESTRA RK44 bronze non-return valve is widely used in industrial process piping, hot water systems, steam lines, compressed air systems and HVAC installations. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring high reliability and low maintenance, such as the chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing and energy industries. The valve complies with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) for Group 2 fluids and can be supplied with an EN 10204 material test certificate to ensure compliance.
Installation Precautions: Ensure a minimum volume flow to keep the valve disc open steadily; for pulsating flows (e.g. compressors) it is recommended to consult the GESTRA Professional version. Static electrical risks need to be dealt with by the factory manufacturer.
Why choose a GESTRA RK44 check valve?
An original German import, the GESTRA RK44 combines advanced engineering and durable materials to provide long-term reliable performance and reduce system downtime. Its wafer-type design saves space and cost compared to traditional check valves, making it the preferred choice for upgrading industrial valve systems. If you are looking for a high quality bronze check valve or non-return valve solution, the GESTRA RK44 will meet your needs.
