The Spirax Sarco Spirax Sarco CP10 Sensor is a conductivity probe designed for use in total dissolved solids (TDS) and conductivity control systems. It is a hermetically sealed body that includes a stainless steel inductor head in the center, PEEK insulation, PTFE sealing ring, stainless steel body, disc spring and gasket. The inductor has a 3/8" BSP flat thread for mounting inside the inductor chamber, a 24mm A/F hex head, and is supplied with a piece of S-shaped stainless steel washer. The electrical connection is made to an IP65 connector (supplied separately), which is connected to a PT2 cable gland for use on a low voltage supply. They are Underwriters Laboratory certified as accessories for use with the BC3150 and BC3250 controllers.
safety information
Read Safety Information Manual IM-GCM-10 when complying with national or landowner government regulations (in the UK, IEE Regulations BS 7671) This product is designed and manufactured to withstand external forces during normal use. Use of this product for other purposes will result in damage to the product and normal personal injury. This product contains PTFE and will emit toxic fumes if exposed to excessive heat. Do not install outdoors without a protective cover.

mounting
Tip: Do not install the sensor outdoors without protection.
Installation of induction chambers on horizontal or vertical piping, with isolation valves on the piping for inspection/cleaning of the chambers. If a size head is to be installed, there is no restriction on the flow direction. The inductor must be horizontal.
TP20 is threaded and installed with PTFE sealing tape if required.
The CP10 inductor is supplied with a piece of S-shaped stainless steel washer for sealing. Use PTFE tape on the CP10 threads and check that the earth resistance is less than 1Ω after installation.Install the inductor into the induction chamber and tighten to 60Nm (44 1bf ft).
Install the PT2 cable gland (or other Spirax Sarco cable gland) on the CP10 inductor and tighten. Tip: Ensure that the PT2 cable is in an environment no higher than 120°C (248oF).
Electrical Installation
Electrical Specifications:
Maximum voltage 20 Vdc, 14 Vac
Maximum current 10 mA
Shield ground (blue wire)
Cables are installed in accordance with BS6739.
protect and maintain
It is recommended that CP10 be removed for cleaning and inspection at least once a year, and the length of the service interval will also depend on the quality and usage of the boiler water or condensate.
With the system upstream and downstream isolation valves closed and the system depressurized, (or the system evacuated), remove CP10.
Clean the inductor probe with soft paper and the insulation with a cloth or brush (not a wire brush).
Check insulation and inductor probe for corrosion, damage and dents, replace and reinstall if required. Tighten CP10 torque to 60Nm (44 lbf ft).
Note: Install with new gaskets.
