Spirax Sarco SMC32F/SMC32YF Integral Flange Type Bimetal Steam Trap

Spirax Sarco Spirax Sarco SMC32F and SMC32YF are serviceable bimetallic steam traps made of carbon steel with integral flanged straight line connections.The SMC32F has a built-in flat type strainer and the SMC32YF has a built-in 'Y' type strainer. All pressurized components are supplied by TÜV-certified suppliers and are manufactured in accordance with AD-Merkblatt WO/TRD100.

Installation Tips

SMC32F and SMC32YF can be mounted in any position, horizontal or vertical.
When condensate is discharged to a condensate recovery line with back pressure, it is recommended that a check valve be installed after the trap.
When condensate is discharged to the atmosphere, it is recommended that a silencer be installed.
For ease of maintenance, it is recommended that globe valves be installed upstream and downstream of the trap. Increased backpressure will reduce the condensate discharge temperature.
