Spirax Sarco FT46 Stainless Steel Float® Steam Trap (DN15-DN50)

Spirax Sarco FT46 Stainless Steel Float Steam Traps (DN15-DN50) are made of austenitic stainless steel with stainless steel internals, built-in automatic air venting device, and flanged connections.
Body and bonnet castings are produced in a TÜV-certified foundry, and the valve can be serviced in-line without dismantling the piping.
The liquid bladder FT46 is fitted with bladder type BP99/32 and can be used for superheated steam with superheat levels of 150°C @ 0 bar g and 50°C @ 32 bar g. The liquid bladder FT46 is fitted with bladder type BP99/32.
This product complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and can be supplied with an EN10204 3.1 certificate (if a certificate is required, please specify when ordering).

• A manually adjustable needle valve (model FT46-C) is available as an option, this option provides a broken steam vapor lock function (SLR), consult Spirax Sarco for more information.
• A 3/8" BSP or NPT threaded hole can be drilled in the top of the bonnet for mounting a counterbalance tube, to be specified at time of order.
• A 3/8" BSP or NPT threaded hole can be drilled in the bottom of the bonnet for mounting a bleeder valve, to be specified at time of order.

Sizes and pipe connections

• Bore sizes are DN15, DN20, DN25, DN40 and DN50. when facing the valve body, the flow direction is from left to right for DN15-DN25 and from right to left for DN40 and DN50.
• Standard flanges are EN1092 PN40 with flange end dimensions to EN26554 (series 1). ANSI B16.5 class150 and 300 flanges are available on request, with flange end dimensions in accordance with EN26554 (series 1) and ANSI flanges with UNC threaded bolt holes.

• TMO Maximum Operating Temperature: 287°C @ 26.1 bar g
• Minimum operating temperature (for low temperature applications, consult Spirax Sarco): 0°C
• ΔPMX maximum differential pressure: 4.5 bar, 10 bar, 21 bar, 32 bar for DN15, DN20, DN25 and DN40, DN50; 14 bar for DN15, DN20, DN25.
• Designed for a maximum cold hydrostatic test pressure of 60 bar g. Warning: After the internal parts have been installed, the trap must not be subjected to a test pressure of more than 48 bar, otherwise the internal parts will be damaged.

Installation Tips: Install in the direction of flow as shown on the valve body, making sure the float arm is positioned horizontally to ensure that the float can rise and fall freely and vertically. This product is recyclable and will not harm the environment if disposed of properly.
