Spirax Sarco Spirax Sarco AEL5 series electric actuators are reversible actuators with linear output. The actuators are available in four power input models, 230Vac, 115Vac, 24Vac and 24Vdc. The standard model receives VMD (Valve Motor Drive) signals, and can be fitted with a built-in positioner board to receive (4-20mA or 2-10Vdc) control signals if required. 24VDC cannot be added to the positioner board.

Actuators can be ordered with or without potentiometers. Actuators ordered with potentiometers are fitted with a 1kΩ feedback resistor as standard, which can be used in conjunction with a positioning plate receiving 4-20mA or 2-10V, or as feedback to a VMD input signal. Other accessories available include auxiliary limit switches and anti-condensation heaters. With suitable valve adapters and mounting flanges, the actuators can be used on the following valves: 2-way SPIRA-TROL, 3-way QL33, QL43, QL63 and QL73.

caveat

  • For working conditions where the medium temperature is 130℃~240℃, optional high-temperature components are required (see the document for high-temperature component parameters).
  • The 24VDC model is not available for mounting the positioning plate. If analog signal control is required, other power supply types must be selected.
