Description
Product Overview
Spirax Sarco No.8 fixed temperature liquid expansion steam trap. It is designed to discharge condensate at a preset temperature, making it suitable for shutdown drain applications. The trap features an oil-filled element that allows unrestricted removal of cold condensate, air, and incondensables during start-up conditions.

Key Features
- Adjustable discharge temperature between 60 °C and 100 °C (140 °F and 212 °F).
- Available with 1/2” screwed BSP T Rp (ISO 7-1) or NPT pipe connections.
- Gunmetal body construction with stainless steel valve head and seat.
- Fully open under cold conditions for rapid air and cold condensate removal.

Capacities
The capacity graph shown is based on a trap with the adjustment 3 turns open and handling condensate at 80 °C (176 °F).

Applications
- Shutdown drain trap (outlet must point upwards to enable continuous immersion of the oil-filled element).
- Mains drain trap bypass (piped to a condensate return line).
