Product Overview
Spirax Sarco UBP32 is a maintenance-free sealed balanced pressure thermostatic steam trap manufactured in stainless steel. Designed for steam and condensate service at pressures up to 32 bar g (464 psi g), the trap mounts to dedicated pipeline connectors to eliminate line breaking during routine replacement and minimize process downtime. Connectors are available with screwed, socket weld, and flanged pipeline ends. The unit is fully recyclable and can be supplied with an internal non-return mechanism designated UBP32CV.

Installation and Maintenance
Spirax Sarco UBP32 can be installed on any pipeline connector in any plane. Prior to bolting, ensure joint faces are clean and undamaged, gaskets are present, and flow passages are unobstructed. Place the trap body against the connector gasket face, apply anti-seize compound to the threads of connector screws (10), tighten finger tight while verifying parallel alignment, and torque evenly to 30-35 N m (22-26 lbf ft) using a 9/16” wrench. Open upstream and downstream isolation valves gradually to establish steady-state flow and confirm absence of leaks.
